Mastik was practically skipping around, looking at all the shops she passed by. None of them seemed right for what she wanted. Hm, which one had what she wanted? She looked to her right, nope, then to her left, nadda. She sighed, man! Where was she going to buy that book! She stopped and her eyes lit up, it was as if a light bulb went over her head that turned on suddenly. Why hadn't she thought of that before?! A library! The library was where books were, she could get on there! She looked around....but she saw no library in site. Dang it, she knew she hadn't passed one or she would have remembered seeing it! So many shops....to many shops....she would never find it here! She looked around, looking to ask somebody that was about her age. She spotted one, her eyes brightening as she hopped over to her.
"Hiii!" She said rather excitedly. "I'm Mastik and I have a question to do you have any idea where a library is I'm trying to find a book on dragons pink dragons to be exact I want to learn more about them and books is a good way to start I would really appreciate your help and I'm really sorry if I bothered you I just really need to find the library cause I have a limited time to be out here and that times almost over you see I've been out here looking for a while and..." She kept going on and on, extremely fast, not taking a single breath.

Milo had never been one to be excited about shopping. Actually, Milo never went shopping. His father was rich; the boy got anything he wanted with the snap of a finger. However, that did bother him, and recently Milo just wanted to feel...normal. He started to question what 'normal' was, but there was no answer, at least not that he was aware. He wiggled his way through the thick crowd of people. Something was going on ahead. A fight maybe? Milo smiled. He loved fights; they were always fun to watch. He stood on his toes to see over the people. No. It wasn't a fight. It was…a book signing? Milo sighed. How boring. He rolled his eyes slightly and walked off. Although Milo did love to read, contrary to popular belief, he never was interested in the actual signing of books. He just didn’t get a thrill from having some guy write all over his book no matter who it was.
A hyper voice spoke out to him and Milo jumped slightly and turned around. It was a girl, probably around his age, and she was talking so fast that it took all of his brain power to be able to keep up with her words. Sheesh, he thought, has this girl ever heard of a simple sentence? His eyes widened as he listened, half expecting her face to turn blue.
Finally, she was done.
The word that stuck out was ‘library’, and Milo assumed she was looking for it. He paused for a moment and then smiled. “It’s not far but I’ve never been very good with directions. Just follow me,” he said kindly and then started to walk.
The crowd had thinned out as they got farther from the book signing. He looked at her and realized that he had seen her somewhere before but couldn't remember her name. “I am Milo, by the way. If you care to know,” he said looking back to where he was walking. “You are?”

Clove hid in a small corner as she heard the girl speak. Then she heard another voice one she recognized. It was Milo from the gardens. She hid not because of fear but because she would not be seen with two friendly people unless of course they found a way to get to her. Clove peeked around the corner and saw them both talking. Clove hid trying not to hyperventilate. To many nice people she though. If they thought her how to be nice or changed her into someone nice Clove would die for sure. Clove rubbed her fingers on the blade of her pocket knife. Shiny not good when reflects in sunlight Clove thought and stashed away her pocket knife. Clove looked back. She thought she might try to casually walk away to go to a book store or the library to hide even if the were both going to go there. Clove thought it would be a better place to go then anywhere she was not appreciated.

"Oh! Hi Milo! I'm Mastik! Mastik Kaeru, it's soo nice to meet you. I like meeting new people what about you? Meeting new people means meeting new friends! I heard that you shouldn't talk to strangers but how would you make friends then, everybody's a stranger at one point!" She said smiling. "So therefor, talking to strangers is good... I guess you could say." She nodded.
"I met this one stranger, and then she ended up taking care of me when nobody else would. She's like my mom, and I'll cherish her forever! I miss her....But I'm a candidate now! I need to get over it, I'll be living on my own for a while, well until I get my dragon, then I'll be living with them, but I mean I miss living with Nina...she was the best person ever, although she was very protective....Still though, I hope she come visits sometime soon...." She said sighing.
